About Us

Founded in response to numerous requests over the years, the Encore Concert Band (originally the Orland Park Community Band) continues to grow and is about to enter its sixth performance season.

The ECB's goals are to offer local adult musicians the opportunity to play quality band music together, to foster a greater appreciation for music among members of the community, and to provide musical entertainment of the highest level for local audiences.

 

Bill Schuetter

 

Director Bill Schuetter earned a baccalaureate degree in instrumental music education from DePaul University in 1976, studying conducting with the legendary Dr. Thomas Fabish. For nine years he performed in Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral Gallery Singers, also forming and conducting the Cathedral Brass Ensemble.

  

The Encore Concert Band is a member of
the Association of Concert Bands.
